WOW looks a lot better than I though it would after those pics. I'm still getting the PS3 version but 360 only owners should definitely get this game, it is in no way comparable to the Bayonetta fiasco...
Come on mods, this was marked as a duplicate story yesterday when it was put up. The author has taken it down and resubmitted it...
Anyone have the Trophy/achievement list?
Was the movie any good?
I don't get it, didn't we already come to the conclusion that they are bad screen captures in the other comparison story?
The industry is in a sorry state when we are giving this much attention to someone who is trying to open up the PS3 for pirates etc...
The only course of action is to wait until both games are released, these cr*ppy 'comparisons' aren't helping anyone...
No need to give this flamebait sites any hits, full story here. Let's put an end to this fanboy cr*p...It has NOTHING to do with GTA 4....
The Yakuza franchise has been extremely successful in Japan. It is, in essence, the east’s answer to GTA and though it hasn’t seen the same level of success in the west that’s enjoyed in Japan, there’s still a strong following here.
But can the game really match up to GTA’s grandeur and open world do-what-you-like signature that h...
I can't stand the American military attitude this game is trying to portray...
Not you again...Just Joking ;)
Actually it isn't MS's 'shady tactics' here at all. MS doesn't have direct contact with these sites in regards to advertising, these things are always handled by an ad agency. The ad agency will contact the publication and deliver money/goods on the terms that they display the ad (a full background ad on a popular site is worth quite a bit), the publication is question accepts the deal. So who is the shady one here?
Fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion as am I. I apologise for implying you're just another mindless fanboy for your initial comment, it is hard to tell the 'good' from the 'bad' around these parts ;)
I'm out of bubbles so I'm done. btw, I didn't disagree with your comments, just so you know.
Regards, Immortal Kaim
It is not a matter of me being suckered in, or not seeing the bigger picture, the things people claiming are out of order etc just don't bother me. I only care about playing a game I have been waiting years for, one that I have followed closely over the year. It isn't like I'm blindly buying the game based on past loyalty, I'm a fan of the series yes, but I have also checked out enough preview/vid/article information to determine that it is a game a want to play. The assumption that buying th...
LOL classic. You have to admit, it's pretty funny.
Unfortunately that comment doesn't back up your claims that they cut content specifically to fit on 3 DVD's. Developer's 'cut' content all the time for almost every game, sometimes it just doesn't fit the overall vision, the might have time or resource constraints etc etc. There is a precedent that MS charges to have games span multiple disks, but significantly smaller studios have managed to produce even larger games (LO is on 4 disks), so it shouldn't be an issue for a studio like SE.
First off, thank you for replying in an intelligent, mature way, we don't get enough of that around here.
Yeah, resources, time and money is always going to be the main limiting factor in game development, irrespective of storage space. In terms of DVD and Blu-ray Comparisons, I think the main differences will continue to be in higher quality audio and cutscenes etc rather than extra content. I suppose it is easy to create the video content and than compress it according to the l...
It is clear by your comments that you aren't being rational about the situation. Please provide proof to these claims that the Xbox 360 version Held back the PS3 version from being released... It has been stated (several times) that the 360 port was being handled by a different team whilst the localisation process was occurring. Plus, check out the release date... less than 4 months from Japanese release to BOTH the US AND PAL releases...A first for the series. SO where is this supposed delay...
What underhanded tactics? Bringing the game to the Xbox 360? Who cares, I'm buying it on PS3 anyway, it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game.
What is with the sense of entitlement of some of you guys, if you aren't happy with the product, don't buy it, simple. The thing is though, you hypocritical whinges will buy the game anyway...
It's a moot point, tell me, was infamous (an open world game) 4-5 times larger in scope and content than GTA 4...It wasn't was it (I know cause I played it). The assumption that just because you have more space means you will be getting significantly more 'game' is a fallacy. The reason being, these games cost millions and millions of dollars to create. Something like GTA 4 would cost somewhere between 20-30 Million (an estimate, please correct me If I'm wrong), but you want the Developers to...
In this case, that assumption is incorrect. The 360 version was being ported simultaneously with the localisation process by another team. There is no room for 'polishing' the game up when it's already out in Japan.

The graphical differences are irrelevant at this point, for all intents and purposes the PS3 version runs at a higher native res (going by the previously released pics). There was then discussion (when I say discussion I mean fanboy rants), that the game might end up being Bayonetta in reverse (as in poor performance), this clearly isn't the case, and as such 360 only owners are still getting the same experience.
